The LIFE-IP CEI-GREECE project, “Implementation of Circular Economy in Greece,” coordinated by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, will participate in the 4th Alfeios Eco Festival, taking place on September 18 and 19, 2026, at the Eparcheio Hill in Pyrgos, Ilia.
As part of the festival, the project is organizing an evening thematic event entitled “Circular Economy Applications through the LIFE-IP CEI-Greece Project”, on Friday September 18, at 18:00, at the Eparcheio Hill.
The Alfeios Eco Festival in Pyrgos serves as a meeting point for citizens, organizations, and initiatives that share an interest in the environment, innovation, and sustainable living, attracting participants and visitors from across Greece.
Through its participation, LIFE-IP CEI-Greece aims to inform local authorities, regional stakeholders, businesses, representatives of the primary sector, as well as professionals and organizations active in the field of the circular economy, about the project’s results and applications, as well as best practices developed throughout its implementation to date.
The presentations will focus on the project’s contribution to the implementation of the circular economy in Greece, the development of local and regional alliances for the management of agri-food waste, as well as integrated applications for the management of recyclable materials, biowaste, and agricultural and livestock waste.
The Agri-food Waste Valorisation Guide and the Zero Waste HoReCa platform, which targets the food service and hospitality sectors, will also be presented.
Throughout the two-day festival, the LIFE-IP CEI-GREECE project will have an information booth at the Alfeios Eco Festival, where informational material about the project and its activities will be available.
Admission to the 4th Alfeios Eco Festival is free of charge.
