A comprehensive distance-learning program on “Circular Economy in Local Government” is being implemented within the framework of the LIFE-IP CEI-Greece project “Circular Economy Implementation in Greece.”
The training program is addressed to representatives and employees of Local Authorities (Municipalities & Regions) who are interested in strengthening their knowledge on waste management, decision-making, and the implementation of Circular Economy actions within local communities.
The program is offered FREE OF CHARGE and is delivered exclusively online, through both synchronous (webinars) and asynchronous (pre-recorded e-courses) learning.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

The E-learning program “Circular Economy in Local Government” is implemented by the Dafni – Network of Sustainable Islands, the Green Fund, Harokopio University, the Ecological Recycling Society, Terra Nova, the Ministry of Environment & Energy, and the Hellenic Recycling Agency, under the LIFE-IP CEI-Greece project “Circular Economy Implementation in Greece.”

- Circular bio-economy & secondary products.
- Legal framework of the Circular Economy for Local Authorities. The role of Municipalities & Regions and their synergies.
- Management plans & financial tools.
- Applications of the Circular Economy in Local Authorities – Part 1 (Guide to separate collection actions, PAYT system implementation).
- Applications of the Circular Economy in Local Authorities – Part 2 (Integrated Green Points, design & implementation of a Household Hazardous Waste system, Green Public Procurement).
- Mobilizing local communities for Circular Economy implementation.
- Case study.
Attendance
The program includes online participation in 4 webinars (synchronous learning) and the completion of 8 pre-recorded e-courses (asynchronous learning) via Google Classroom.
To receive the Certificate of Attendance, participants must successfully complete 2 evaluation quizzes and 1 case study assignment.
