A comprehensive, free distance learning program titled “Circular Economy for Educators” is being implemented under the LIFE-IP CEI-Greece project, “Implementation of Circular Economy in Greece.”

The training program is addressed to primary and secondary education teachers, students of pedagogical departments and teacher training schools, as well as professionals working in other environmental education bodies (e.g. Environmental Education Centers, NGOs, etc.) who are interested in gaining expertise in the field of Circular Economy.

Participants will acquire new knowledge and skills for teaching Circular Economy and implementing relevant actions, applying best practices for waste prevention and management in school units, as well as utilizing educational programs and tools. The objective is to reduce the environmental footprint of schools in Greece and to empower the entire school community in matters of sustainability and sustainable development.

The program is offered FREE OF CHARGE and is delivered entirely online through both synchronous (webinars) and asynchronous (recorded e-courses) learning.

Participants will receive a CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE.

PROGRAM DELIVERY

The program is delivered via the Google Classroom platform and includes:

  • 4 online webinars (synchronous learning, live participation)
  • 7 recorded e-courses (asynchronous learning)
  • 2 evaluation quizzes & 1 case study assignment required for the certificate of attendance

  • May 7 – May 17: E-courses – Module A (asynchronous, 4 recorded lessons)*
  • May 20 (15:30–16:30): Webinar 2 (synchronous)
  • May 21 – May 31: E-courses – Module B (asynchronous, 3 recorded lessons)*
  • June 3 (15:30–16:30): Webinar 3 (synchronous)
  • June 4 – June 14: Case study assignment
  • June 17 (15:30–17:30): Webinar 4 (synchronous)

*Participants may attend the recorded courses at any time within the specified period.

The E-learning program “Circular Economy for Educators” is implemented by the Network of Sustainable Greek Islands (DAFNI), the Green Fund, Harokopio University, the Ecological Recycling Society, Terra Nova, the Ministry of Environment and Energy, and the Hellenic Recycling Organization, within the framework of the LIFE-IP CEI-Greece project “Implementation of the Circular Economy in Greece.”
