Information Day & Regional Circular Economy Workshop in Central Greece Successfully Concluded within the framework of the LIFE-IP CEI-Greece Project

The proceedings of the “Information Day and Regional Circular Economy Workshop in Central Greece” took place from 3 to 5 November 2025 in Chalkida, at the Regional Council Hall of the Administrative Building of the Regional Unit of Evia. The event was co-organised by the Green Fund, the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEEN), the Region of Central Greece, the Regional Unit of Evia, and the Hellenic Recycling Organisation (HRA) as part of the LIFE-IP CEI-Greece – LIFE18 IPE/GR/000013 “Implementation of Circular Economy in Greece” project.

Waste Gains Value: The Ministry of Environment & Energy and the Fish Farmers of Thesprotia Lead the Way in Circular Economy

The Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEEN), within the framework of the European project LIFE-IP CEI-Greece – LIFE18 IPE/GR/000013 “Circular Economy Implementation in Greece”, has entered into a Bilateral Agreement with the Association of Fish Farmers of Thesprotia Prefecture to promote the valorization of agri-food waste.

89th Thessaloniki International Fair

The LIFE-IP CEI-GREECE project for the Circular Economy, under the General Secretariat for Waste Management Coordination, participates in the pavilion of the Ministry of Environment and Energy and Energy and the Hellenic Recycling Agency with actions, ideas and results that show the way towards a more sustainable future. Successful Implementation of DIADYMA’s “Reuse and Recycling in Practice” Actions in Meliti and Aiani  – Next Stops: Karpero, Mesopotamia, and Livadero

The “Reuse and Recycling in Practice” events, organized by DIADYMA in collaboration with the Municipality of Florina and the Municipality of Kozani, were successfully completed. The activities took place on Wednesday, May 7th, in the courtyard ofPrimary School of the Meliti municipal unit of the Municipality of Florina, and on Thursday, May 8th, in the Central Square of the Aiani municipal unit of the Municipality of Kozani. This initiative aims to raise public awareness in Western Macedonia about the recycling and reuse of everyday items. The actions are carried out under the LIFE-IP CEI-Greece project (LIFE18 IPE/GR/000013), which aims to implement the Circular Economy in Greece, in cooperation with Appliances Recycling S.A. and AFIS S.A.
