The “Reuse and Recycling in Practice” events, organized by DIADYMA in collaboration with the Municipality of Florina and the Municipality of Kozani, were successfully completed. The activities took place on Wednesday, May 7th, in the courtyard ofPrimary School of the Meliti municipal unit of the Municipality of Florina, and on Thursday, May 8th, in the Central Square of the Aiani municipal unit of the Municipality of Kozani. This initiative aims to raise public awareness in Western Macedonia about the recycling and reuse of everyday items. The actions are carried out under the LIFE-IP CEI-Greece project (LIFE18 IPE/GR/000013), which aims to implement the Circular Economy in Greece, in cooperation with Appliances Recycling S.A. and AFIS S.A.
During the events, 107 students in Meliti, 113 students in Aiani, and citizens of all ages had the opportunity to bring packaging waste (paper, plastic, glass, and aluminum), and also special category waste such as small electrical and electronic appliances, batteries, light bulbs, and containers with residues of hazardous household waste (personal care products, household cleaning products, household and gardening pesticides, containers, hazardous building materials, solvent andvarnishes).

- Mesopotamia, Kastoria: Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 10:00 to 14:00, at the Central Square of Mesopotamia, in collaboration with the Municipality of Kastoria.
- Livadero, Servia: Friday, May 16, 2025, from 10:00 to 13:00, at Livadero Square (former high school), in collaboration with the Municipality of Servia.
