On Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, an informational event was held at the premises of the 1st Junior High School of Argos Orestiko for students and teachers, focusing on the importance of the separate waste collection of Hazardous Household Waste (HHW).
The Deputy Mayor for Daily Operations and the Municipal Garage of Argos Orestiko, Stergios Filiadis, attended the event.
The bin is located at the Argos Orestiko Service Park (in the area of the annual trade fair), where citizens can drop off their HHW-containing packaging on a daily basis.
It is clarified that: for household batteries, lamps, small electrical & electronic devices, and expired medicines, which already have separate waste collection programs in place, citizens should look for special collection bins in stores, public service points, and DIADYMA facilities (information at diadyma.gr or on DIADYMA’s social media).
The program is funded by the LIFE-IP CEI Greece – LIFE18 IPE/GR/000013 “Implementation of Circular Economy in Greece” Project.
