Completion of the E-learning Programme “Circular Economy in Local Authorities”

The E-learning programme “Circular Economy in Local Authorities” was successfully completed on Friday, 19 December. The programme was implemented within the framework of the integrated project LIFE-IP CEI-Greece “Implementation of Circular Economy in Greece” (LIFE18 IPE/GR/000013) by the Network of Sustainable Greek Islands (DAFNI), the Green Fund, Harokopio University, the Ecological Recycling Society, Terra Nova, the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MoEE) and the Hellenic Recycling Organization (HRA), with co-funding from the EU LIFE Programme and the Green Fund.

LIFE-IP CEI-GREECE and the Municipality of Souli join forces for the utilization of agri-food waste and the promotion of circular economy

A new bilateral voluntary agreement for the advancement of circular economy practices has been signed between the LIFE-IP CEI-GREECE project — coordinated by the Hellenic Ministry of Environment & Energy — and the Municipality of Souli. This agreement marks an important step toward the sustainable management and valorisation of agri-food waste at local level.

The proceedings of the “Information Day and Regional Circular Economy Workshop in Central Greece” took place from 3 to 5 November 2025 in Chalkida, at the Regional Council Hall of the Administrative Building of the Regional Unit of Evia. The event was co-organised by the Green Fund, the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEEN), the Region of Central Greece, the Regional Unit of Evia, and the Hellenic Recycling Organisation (HRA) as part of the LIFE-IP CEI-Greece – LIFE18 IPE/GR/000013 “Implementation of Circular Economy in Greece” project.
