The Green Fund, the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEEN), the Region of Central Greece (Regional Unit of Evia), and the Hellenic Recycling Agency (HRA) are organizing an Information Day and a Three-Day Regional Circular Economy Workshop in the Region of Central Greece, from 3 to 5 November 2025, in Chalkida, at the Regional Council Hall of the Regional Unit of Evia Administration Building, within the framework of the project LIFE-IP CEI-Greece – LIFE18 IPE/GR/000013 “Circular Economy Implementation in Greece.”

Specifically, on 3 November, from 10:30 to 14:45, the Information Day will take place, open to the general public. Its purpose is to present the LIFE-IP CEI-Greece project, highlight successful circular economy practices that can be applied in Central Greece, and promote a broader understanding of circular economy issues.

The Three-Day Regional Capacity Building Workshop will follow, held on 3 November (14:45–19:00) and on 4 and 5 November (09:30–14:30). The thematic sessions of the workshop will cover the following topics:

Day 1: “Local Authorities & Circular Economy”

Day 2: “Circular Economy in the Agri-Food Sector of Central Greece”

Day 3: “Circular Economy & Entrepreneurship”

During the workshop, discussions will take place with invited speakers and representatives of various institutions. Participants will explore issues related to the circular economy through presentations, experiential exercises, and case studies from the project partners. The workshops aim to train and engage all relevant stakeholders involved in designing and implementing circular waste management solutions — such as municipalities, industries, small-medium enterprises, farmers’ associations, professional and industrial chambers, local tourism associations, NGOs, and others.

Participation in the Information Day will be in person, at the Regional Council Hall of the Regional Unit of Evia Administration Building (93 Chaina Avenue) in Chalkida. There will also be an option for online attendance of the Information Day. Participation in the workshop will be exclusively in person.

Participation in all the above activities is free of charge. However, pre-registration is required via the following link:
