With the addition of two special bins for the separate waste collection of Hazardous Household Waste (HHW) in Ptolemaida, citizens now have the opportunity to recycle containers with hazardous chemical content at the following locations:
- Corner of Kapetan Foufa and Ethnikis Antistasis Streets (Open market)
- Corner of Adyssis and Pavlidi-Adamopoulou Streets
For this purpose, an informational event was held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the 3rd Primary School of Ptolemaida in collaboration with the Municipality of Eordea. The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor for Daily Life, Sanitation and Green Centers, Christos Kesperidis, and the Head of the Sanitation Department, Nikolaos Kouroumplis.
During the event, instructions were given regarding the operation of the new HHW separate waste collection system and the proper management of such waste, implemented under the LIFE 18 IPE/GR/000013 – Circular Greece program.
