A three day Capacity Building Workshop on Circular Economy has taken place with great success,  from 18 to 20 October 2023, at the Koventarios Municipal Library of Kozani, co-organized by the Green Fund, the Region of Western Macedonia, the Municipality of Kozani, and DIADYMA S.A. in the context of the european project LIFE-IP CEI-Greece, LIFE18 IPE/GR/000013 “Circular Economy Implementation in Greece”. The project is coordinated by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, in collaboration with 19 strategic partners, including the Green Fund and DIADYMA S.A.

The aim of this capacity building workshop was to train the relevant stakeholders, to design and implement circular solutions in waste management. A total of 219 participants from different organizations attended the workshop, such as central and local government bodies, research and technology institutions, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, universities, local businesses and the civil society.

Greeting speeches in the worskhop were given by Mr. Georgios Kasapidis, Governor of the Region of Western Macedonia, Mr. Lazaros Maloutas, Mayor of Kozani, Mr. Manolis Grafakos, General Secretary of Waste Management Coordination, Ministry of Environment and Energy, Mr. Ioannis Androulakis, President of the Board, Green Fund and Mr. Dimosthenis Mavridis, General Manager, DIADYMA S.A.

During the workshop a number of topics related to Circular Economy and relevant best practices were presented and discussed,  from the project coordinator and other beneficiaries.
